What this site is
NYC is my Bitch is a personal site about New York City. Neighborhood notes, events, merch, and visitor stories are opinions and snapshots, not official city information and not professional advice.
The name and some of the writing are blunt. If that is not for you, leave.
Your stories
If you post on Stories, you are responsible for what you write.
- Only post text you have the right to post.
- Do not post anyone else's private information.
- Do not post threats, harassment, slurs aimed at a person, sexual content involving minors, spam, or anything illegal.
- Do not impersonate someone else.
A story you post may appear in public on this site. You keep whatever rights you have in your words. By posting, you give this site permission to display that text here.
We can edit, hide, or delete a post for any reason, including if it is rude, off-topic, or we just do not want it on the wall. There is no promise that a post will stay up.
Contact messages
Messages sent through Contact are for reaching the people who run this site. Do not use that form to abuse anyone or to send content you would not put in a letter with your name on it.
Events, tickets, and other sites
Event listings are a courtesy. Dates, prices, and links change. Confirm everything with the organizer before you go. Ticket links and social links leave this site. Those companies have their own terms. We are not them.
Merch
The merch page lists items you can buy. Checkout, payment, printing, and shipping are handled by a third-party store, not by this site. Their prices, stock, shipping cost, and policies control the order. A listing here is not a promise that an item is in stock or that a price will stay the same.
If you have a problem with an order, start with that store. You can also use Contact and we will point you the right way when we can.
Our content
The site name, logo, photos we posted, and the writing we posted belong to us unless a caption says otherwise. Do not copy the site and pass it off as yours.
Use of the site
Do not try to break the site, scrape it in a way that knocks it over, or use it to send malware. Do not use it for any unlawful purpose.
No warranties
The site is provided as is. It may be down, wrong, or unfinished. We do not promise that a page, a count, a listing, or a file will be accurate or available.
Limits
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for what a visitor posts, for a third-party event or ticket page, or for damages that come from using or not being able to use this site.

Changes
These terms can change. The date at the top is the current version. Keep using the site after a change and the new terms apply.
